Yesterday Robin and I took an afternoon off from camp and drove to the town of Vicksburg, MS. We were there once five years ago, and mostly enjoyed the fascinating civil war battle field (well, we are, after all, weird). This time, we didn’t expect much. But then, almost at the very edge of historic downtown Vicksburg, we found probably one of the coolest coffee shops we’ve seen in the states so far. Above the highway 61 coffeehouse, there is a beautiful art gallery. We spent a couple of hours in the gallery talking to Lesley, the owner. In the evening, Daniel, Lesley’s husband and his band were playing at the coffeehouse.
Live music, 500 feet from the banks of the Mississippi river. Great coffee. Amazingly nice people.
Here are a few shots.

Thanks for the the nice words and the great photos. Glad y’all had a good time here on our corner in Vicksburg. Come back and see us.
